this feature disapeared, how do I get back

Kinda foggy here. Can't see my crystal ball.

What do you mean "disappeared"?
Do you have your project open? What kind of project?

Has anyone ever identified the cause?

I've never had this happen on any machine where I've had VB6 installed. Yet it pops up here as a question all the time.

stromgm, I tried what you suggested , it did'nt work. Canyou suggest anything else?
Thank you for your interest.

Back to step 1 then:

EUREKA! I've found it.
When I first installed SP6 and when I had a project open, A nessage apeared in the left hand tool collumn. "Make (project) exe". it soon disapeared so I thought it somehow was lost.
But actualy it resides in the File section.

Glad you found it where it has always been. Not quite sure how it ever appeared on the "left hand tool column", though.

It is possible to make a custom toolbar with the "Make..." command on it and dock that below the others and at the far left of the IDE client area. That's all I can imagine, since custom ToolBox tabs can only hold components as far as I know.
