'make' documentation? 1

Hi,
I'm trying to learn how to use Makefiles, and I found the GNU documentation is an excellent source of information:

However, I've found a few places where they talk about features that are GNU Make specific extensions.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good documentation (i.e. not like most of the crappy personal tutorial sites I found) that is only for the make POSIX standard?
