Make Command

Well,

I am running Unix off MacOS-X, I just open a terminal and there is it. I check for the command but for some reason it's just not there (make, thats the command) I need to know how to compile stuff.. I dont know how to update.. I checked my software updator and there was nothing. Any help is well apprecianted..

make is in /bin on most unix flavours
Does your path have /bin included in it ?

Not all versions of UNIX come with a development system (make, cc etc)

You may need to buy the compiler and tools, unless there's a free compiler out there for you. I had a look at the gnu pages and there's no mention of MacOS-X being supported, doesn't mean it isn't supported, just that I couldn't find it.

if you'd like to check for yourself - s/w you need is gcc
