Make Busy Reason Keys

Hi All,

Does anyone know if you can program a CDE Speed Dial against a key for Make Busy.

What the users wants to be able to do is hit the make busy key and then hit one of 6 other available keys for the make busy reason.

I assume you just need to configure 1-6 against the keys as a User speeddial?

Do you need 01 or just 1?

Has anyone done this?

Never tried it myself because lets face it you are still pushing two keys to do the make busy. Also you have to think how many keys you use to put the speed dial keys on the phones. We are already running into key issues when a customer uses a 5320 ( 20 keys ) as an ACD set. By the time you put a personal key, headset, make busy, super key, queue alerts you start running out of space and using up 6 just to store a single digit under them seems a bit much.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

cant you just use personal speed calls and put the whole code in ?

eg if fac for make busy is *5* and make busy code is 01 then do personal speed call as *5*01#

Since you are going to do a key for each code then Billz66 suggestion would be even better.

I'm thinking somewhere in that string you will need a "P" for pause, maybe 2.

Thanks Chap. Tried that and it does not appear to work either. The client appears to be happy that they just have to press a digit for the code. I think I will leave it at that.
