Make a hunt group ring as external call

Anyone know a way to make a hunt group ring as an external call. Currently incoming calls are routed to a hunt group, but even if it's an outside call it still rings the same as an internal call. Even though I've set external calls to ring differently. Very annoying!
Is this something I can change in the dial plan?
We have an NBX100 with 5.31.
