I have to dump data form an oracle database and send it to a client.Could you Please help?
Thanks

Have you looked at the exp command? It is used to export data from an Oracle database - to a tape or a file.

Mike
Mike_Lacey@Cargill.Com
<a href= Cargill's Corporate Web Site
Please don't send me email questions without posting them in Tek-Tips as well. Better yet -- Post the question in Tek-Tips and send me a note saying "Have a look at so-and-so in the thingy forum would you?"

If you just need to send a report that contains data, use SQL*Plus and spool the query results out to a text file.
