Make a background transparant so i dont hav 2 trim around an image????

Hello,

I was donwring if anybody could help me on this issue.

I constantly have images which i have to trim in order to delete the background? is there a method in fireworks which can automatically change the background to transparent or a colour?

hope someone can help
