We are having major virus problems (W32.ElKern.gen)with our companies servers/clients. I downloaded a tool from symantec but by the time the virus scanner fixes the computer, its already spreaded again. Its on our Email servers, some clients...What to do???

First thing you need to do is get any client / server that is infected off the network. Unplugg the cat 5 cable. Run the removal tool on each one until all come back clean. Then you can reconnect them to the network. Also, if your e-mail server is infected, remove it from the network first to stop the spread if possible. Make sure you have all machines clean before reconnecting them to the network.
Hope this helps.

Depending on the size of your organization, you may have a long weekend.

Download the tool to all pc's first, then unplug the network cable from them before you patch them.

To save time, leave a little message for each user to plug there cables back in when they return Monday.

You should consider your network down until this is solved. Also, you may want to attach a few pc's into there own little lan first to test that the tool actually worked so you don't have to repeat this process.
