OK this report is KILLING me - I am creating travel expense forms that match our agency's form - that is designed for hand entry - to a electronic version that spits out data in this formatpull into notebook and eliminate word wrap)

The issue is that I am trying to get certain data into certain fields - i.e if someone is using an airline and train in travel - then an X should appear in the appropriate box "X Airline" X Train" " Rental Car"


I then need to sum the airline $$, the train $$ etc and pass it to a specific area on the report.

Additionally I am compiling the date/time length of accomodations with this formula:

It works great except - I need to be able to account for each day of the trip individually - and am having trouble breaking it down into travel days. If I stay 1 day at rate x, 2 at rate y and 4 at rate n I should pass 1/2/4 in one field and x/y/n in another -with a summary to the side - .


I think I have gone on long enough - so we will see what interest this draws -I can fill in more as we go on.

Can you boil it down to what the relevant data looks like in the database, what you need the report to show, and what the problem is?

Can't you get the file into fixed-length format? Then you could use the Mid command to pick up and test the items you need.

It helps to give your Crystal version, since newer versions have extra solutions, and some extra problems. I use Crystal 8.5
