hey iam having trouble restarting my computer. Every time i try to start it it says Windows is starting in DOS program and it just stays there...the screen stays there for ever it never changes i think i crashed it but i tried to start it with the win98 startup disk and i dont know what to do someone said type c: to change drives and then type cd windows and then i typed win (to start windows) and a masage pops up and says VFAT file missing!! Whats that?? Please help!!

When you first restart, after the BIOS load comes up and the "second" screen appears hit the F5 key a fey time and boot into safe mode (F5 automatically boots into safe mode)
If you can boot into safe mode then you are having a driver issue. Hope this helps.

I dont want to scare you, but mostly the vfat problem is not good solvable.
So probably you are gonna have to take your data of the drive wile you can, and then reinstall.
If you are gonna reinstall, use fdisk to remove the partition, and then after rebooting create a new one.
In this way you will ensure you have a healthy disk system.
