Major Problem-Virus or System Errors, Problem-please help

i downloaded f-secure client security a few days ago and i installed it. after the installation, the program tells me to restart my pc. i did so but my computer started to screw up after that- i couldn't log in to my user files (windows xp). my pc automatically restarts... after that i tried logging into safe mode and deleted that "f-secure program", my pc went back to normal again. i thought this is the end of the disaster.

today, i put a cd into my cd rom (NHL 2004) drive and ran it, my pc automatically restarts?! i wonder what happened to my pc again. i didn't download anything after that disaster. someone please help! then i ran another game (not on a cd) and the pc restarted again? so retarded!
one of my classmate tells me that i got a huge virus... is that true? what should i do? if i format my computer, i will lose all my files and apps- is there a better way to solve this problem?

can you connect to the Internet? if so go to

http://www.trendmicro.com

and do a online scan... it is Highly Recommended that you disable Restore before you do this...

then download the following progs and use them in the given order:

Ad-Aware SE, SpyBot S&D, HiJackThis!!...

in order to clean your system...

reenable Restore and report back here if it worked or not...
