I have used up all of my major numbers in SCO Openserver 5.0.6. I have verified with the majorsinuse command and /dev that I am using all 256 major numbers. SCO support has confirmed this. Has anyone ever encountered this?

SCO support says to delete some of my sockets from /etc/conf/sdevice.d/socket and /etc/conf/cf.d/mdevice. This would free up some major numbers. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
