Major flash slowdown while using tweens

We are creating an entry point for a website and to do so we have buttons which, when you roll over them, tween into a description of where the button leads. The tweens for the descriptions are only 4 frames long but they take a very long time to execute. In the background we have some decorative .swf files running and some other tweens using symbols and they seem to run pretty well, but the button tweens take an interminably long time- we've even set the frame rate to 120 and there is no big difference.
Anybody else have experience with this?

Could you give us more information and perhaps your URL so we can understand the question better? Is it shape or motion tweening? Do the description and buttons run at a different _level than the background animations?

Thank you very much.

Actually- we finally figured it out. We were using vector glows in the background that caused the slowdown- when we took them out it ran fine.
Thanks,
Bill
