We are using CE10 on a Windows 2000 server. We use a custom app that uses the RAS and we schedule job using the job server. What maintenance should we do to the server to keep the app up to par. Someone mentioned to me about the temp files that are built up...

Yes, the temp environment has tmp files put in there each time a crystal report is run. These do not get deleted unless done manually. It is good maintenance practice to regularly clear out the temp environment used by your CE installation.

A neat way to do it is to create a batch file to delete *.tmp from the temp environment and publish and schedule the batch file to run from within CE (providing your CE license permits you to do so) daily or weekly at a time when no reports are being processed.

Log on to the CE 10 Server, click on start, run, type in
%temp% and press enter.

A window showing the temp folder for that server should appear.
