Is there a way to stop a maintenance plan from running without deleting it? I gave the plan an end date of 7-2-10 on the schedule but it still running.

Have you tried removing the schedule from the maintenance plan via the Management Studio tools?

Got it thanks. In a somewhat different issue, I am running a batch file in the task scheduler in windows server 2008 to move files from one server to another and it does not seem to be doing its job. the task runs but I get under the Last Run Result a (0x1) and not Completed Successfully or something like that. The log said that it finished successfully but in 6 seconds and nothing is being move. Any ideas?

You might want to ask that one in the server forum. Off the top my head, I'd start with a file permission, and make sure your For Next counter is accurate. Sounds like it may have one too many.

That's not my area of expertise, but that's where I'd start.
