maintenance kit 8200dp & drivers for OS X & dp switches

I just bought a Phaser 8200DP on ebay. I set it up yesterday with an iMac G5. It is set up direct, no network. I downloaded the 8200 driver from Xerox website -but the printer window in my applications (Word, Photshop, etc.) doesn't show any presets or variables (photo quality, etc.) only standard mode. Are there seperate drivers for the 8200dp vs. 8200?

Also, yesterday it printed fine, today it says I need to replace the maintenance kit and won't allow printing. I know the date can be changed via network ip adress -can the date be reset when hooked up direct?

This machine didn't come with a manual, so I don't have a lot of info. What are the dp switches on the back for?

Ok, I know by default the drivers don't have any settings that you can change, but do know that if you contact Xerox, or talk to other Mac users, there is a way to turn on the more robust settings that you are looking for. I'd help you, but unfortunatly I haven't touched a Mac in many, many years.

As far as the maintanence kit, No, there is no way to change the date to allow it to print. On that printer, there is a small key at the center front of the maintanence drawer. This is actually a counter, and when it reaches the life of the maint kit, it needs to be replaced.

The dip switches on the back are used to put the printer in diagnostics mode, and there is also a small connector of about 4 pins that you can plug into via a PC Serial port, and run a PC based diag software.
