Maintenance Account

hello,
i am using the admin accout as the maintenance account.
can i use another account for the maintenance ?
or if i have to change the password of admin account is there any other way than going into services-startup and changing password (that didnt work for me)
i also have 2 exchange servers in the same site.now i would like to remove one of them.i would like to stop the exchange on one of the servers.incase one server is down then i would like to run the other but not two exchange servers at the same time.

In Exchange administrator there is a field to specify which addount receives the admin emails. Set it as your account there.

Your services should be running under their own account and not the admin account for security reasons. Create an account called something like exchange admin 001 with a password like ExChAdmin002 or similar.
