maintaining servers in dmz

I would like to know how do you guys maintain servers that are in your dmz zone. For example, lets say you have a windows 2000 web server. Do you simply allow only remote desktop from the lan into the dmz or do you guys use kvm switches for them?

I use both. That way if you have an issue with one method, you have the other to fall back on.
