Maintain the relationship between segments and devices

Hello,
I have a server using RAID, and so segments of databases are created based on user defined segments. My questions:
- How can I check for this relationship
- How do I maintain them when that segment is running out of space and I have to assign a new database device for that segment?
- More complicate to me that how can I find out which segments belong to which db devices when they don't have the same name !
