I am trying to emphasize my mainframe experience which is
the first five years of my career. 15 was spent in Mini,IBM
series 1, and unix(aix,solaris,hp/ux). Apparently there are
plenty of openings in mainframe jobs without qualified people. Why do employees want 'recent' experience when it is
clear that they can't find graduates or even anyone entering this arena? My friend got a job in San Franciso only becuse he knows as400. 15 of his peers are looking for work in sillicon valley for about a year now. I feel it is
time for me to bet on my Series/1 and mainframe know-how no matter how dated it may be.
