Hi Max,
There are a fair number of these tools about (type Cobol formatter beautifier into google) but most of them you have to pay for. This link:

seems to be offering an evaluation tool.

Alternatively, depending on which country you are in, hire an experienced Cobol contractor to do the job for you for a fee.

Thanks again for the response, Marc. I haven't tried out the evaluation copy yet. The reason I was looking at the formatter is to cut out the programming time required for it, if possible.
