I have a main report listing certain data from one table(ie invoice header).
I have a subreport within the main report, which selects data from another table (ie Invoice detail) and totals it.
On the main report I have created a control which gets the total from the subreport.
So far so good.
However I would like to include this total control in the main report totals, and I do not seem to be able to total it.

Perhaps my gray cells are leaving faster than I thought.

The simplest method might be to create a totals query similar to your subreport's recordsource but group by InvoiceID and total the fields you need. Then add this query to your main report's record source and join the InvoiceID fields. Add the "total of" fields to the query grid so you can add the fields to the main report.
