Hello, I've a customer site that wants their main number to go to their Sales group first as at this particular site, Sales receives most of the calls. They have a straight T1 coming in, and are using DID's with their provider sending 3 digits. Currently the main number, let's call it 1800, comes to the console as it should, is there an easy way to accomplish what they want? I tried renumbering the Sales group to the main number with no sucess. Thanks In Advance.

WE kinda' need to know what type of service is getting this D-I-D stuff to work.

Do you know how the service is being provided?

-OR-

Can you print the PRI and/or the T1 stuff and let's see what we can figure out?

Here you go. I forgot to mention that the main number isn't in their DID range.

Does the Main Number come in over the T1?

If so, it may come in by way of DNIS Digits, but we would need to know.

Also, is the Main Console a QCC, if so, the 800 (last 3 Digits) could be what's steering the calls to it.

Need to know that too!

Yes, the main number comes in over the T1, and the console is DCC. I'll need to check with the provider to see if it's DNIS or not.

Well, 2 things, You said it's DCC, well, is it DLC or QCC?

2nd Thing - If it is coming in as unnasigned D-I-D, you will see COVER DID #? in the display when a call rings in on the main number.

Are you seeing that?

My bad, it's a DLC. I spoke with the provider this afternoon, and I found out that the 1800 number is forwarded to the console extension of 100. So, my thoughts are to accomplish what they want would be to renumber the console, make ext 100 an adjunct, and then give the Sales phones a primary coverage button for ext 100. Would this accomplish what they want or am I anywhere in the ballpark? Thanks In Advance

What would be another way to do it? Also, they want if no one answers the call in the Sales group for it to go to the Receptionist or general mailbox. Would this be accomplished by an overflow setup? Thanks again.
