mailto will open up Notes, but not start a new message

When I click on a mailto link in Internet Explorer, It will start Lotus Notes for me, but it does not start up a new message with the address or subject.

Is there a way to get it to do this?

What version of Notes are you running? I would try replacing the design as a first step.

What is the design, and how do I replace it.

Notes R5.08?

To replace the design, right-click the DB icon, Database, Replace Design. The template server should point to your Domino server and you should select the approriate tample file. I would recommend the iNotes template, iNotes Mail and C&S (inotes5.ntf).

Make a backup replica of the DB before replacing the design.

Thanks for the help. I didn't want to replace anything, since I wasn't sure what I was doing but I finally received help here and was sent some sort of update (It seemed to update a few files) that fixed the problem
