Mailto link in IE and Netscape

I am doing my company website and I am including mailto link to all the email addresses on a particulaer page. When I preview it and test it in Netscape, it works fine but when I test it in IE 5.0 it give me a dialog box saying "Error loading" and then "The system cannot find the file specified."
Can anyone help me with this problem? I have noticed it on couple of other websites using dreamweaver to build webpages.

I found the answer to it. there was something wrong with my mail program.
