Hallo All,

Anybody out there using Mailscanner ? I use it in conjunction with Sophos. One small annoying thing is that it strips away HTML newsletters. This might of course be a good idea, but I was wondering whether anybody knew if it was possible to implement some filters.

For example, say I sign up for a newsletter from news@news.com, and Mailscanner strips it away. I then only receive the warning. Is it possible, on a per user basis (sendmail) to allow certain mails through without running through the mailscanner?

From the "Examples" file included in the distro, heres what you want?

Here are a few ideas of how to implement features using this ruleset system.

1. Spam WhiteList

Set "Is Definitely Not Spam = /opt/MailScanner/etc/rules/whitelist.rules".
Set addresses to be whitelisted using rules such as
From: user@good.domain.com yes
From: *@friendly.domain.com yes
# Don't mark any internal message as spam
From: 123.234. yes
From: /^192\.168\.13[4567]\./ yes
FromOrTo: default no

Also see blacklist.rules

Good Luck,
Laurie
