I have used every version of WORD since day 1. However I have never mailmerged and now need help.

I have labels to be printed. The label sheet is 29.5cm high and 11.5 mm wide. The labels are 3 deep and 2 across.

My data is an excel file with column A the surname and col B the first name.

How do I create a doc that will mailmerge the data and print the name labels?

hi,

Word has a dialog that steps you thru each step of doing a mailing. What version?

Hi,
Go to the Mailings tab. Click Start Mail Merge and select Labels from the drop down menu. Go to Options and select the label that matches your size, or create your own layout by clicking New Label.

Click Select Recipients, click Use Existing List and navigate to your Excel file.

Then use Insert Merge Field to add the fields to the label area just the way you want them to appear - remember to add spaces where you would normally add a space between words.

Good luck and hope this helped!

Best,
