I'm using CR 8.5.

I have a mailing label report for the head of household based on if they are a customer at a specific date (parameter field - {?Reportdate}. I have been asked to put on the labels two numbers - number of children in the household and number of adults in the household (based on age of each person within the household).

I have created a second report that does this and have grouped both reports by the customer ID.

I figured I could place the second report as a subreport in the details section and link by customer number, but it isn't working.

I als tried using the {?Reportdate} parameter as a secondary link but it doesn't see that field in the subreport.

Any ideas to fix this or an easier way to put these group summaries in the detail area of the mailing labels?

it isn't working
Just how is it not working? Failing to pick up the expected data? Or finding the wrong data?

When you make a link to a subreport, you automatically get a link in the record selection of the subreport. From the subreport, try Report > Selection Formuals > Record, or the equivalent in Crystal 8.5. You may find that there are more selections than you want.

As for passing a date parameter to a subreport, that ought to work. There is only a problem 'seeing' summary fields.

Madawc,
I managed to get it to work today... I had to change the linking parameter. Many Thanks though!
