mailer-daemon emails??

I've gotten two mailer-daemon emails sent to different people that I've never sent email to. the one had a .pif file and the other had two .txt files. neither of these emails where in my sent box. do I have a virus and sending emails out or is it people trying to get me to open a virus? I have nortons and the updates...I've ran a scan and nothing came up.

Any ideas?

Nope, you are clean.. Your email addy is being spoofed by another infected system that has your email addy in their contact list.. Until that system is found and cleaned, you can start expecting a pile of these..
