Mailbox Sizes

Good morning,

I have a question regarding mailbox sizes. I am using Intermedia as a Microsoft Hosted Exchange provider. I am using Microsoft Outlook 2007 as our email clients. What is Microsoft's recommended mailbox size? Some of our email boxes are close to 3GB and they run slow. IS there a whitepaper out there that I can refer to?

Any help is much appreciated.

A lot depends on the version of Exchange server. Hosted by Intermedia, I'd guess Exchange 2010.
