Let's say you have size limits for all the mailboxes on your Exchange 2003 server, and somebody blows right on by those limits. Thus, putting them in a position to not be able to send or receive email.

If that takes place, what happens to the internal and/or external emails that are being sent to this mailbox that is too large? Is it queue'd somewhere? Does the sender receive a message saying the person they are sending to has a box that is full? etc.

The incoming internal and external emails arent queued, they bounce. Yes, they will get an NDR assuming default configuration
