i have users that have been receiving errors saying that there mailbox has reached its maximum size limits, however there are no mailbox size limits set. why is this happening? is there a default exchange setting that can be changed?

thanks for any help.

In Exchange System Manager, right click on your mailbox store(s) and view the Properties. There should be a Limits tab where you can enter defaults.

Could be that the message relates to the size of the offline store ot PST file you will often get warnings when it approches 2GB.

On the server check the default size as brontosaurus suggests but also check in AD for the individual mailbox restrictions (kind of pressuming its Outlook and exchange here).
