Ok, I'm having a mental block today apparently, and cannot get this to work. This is what I need to have happen. This is on an ACS R6 with PM VS R5.

Person has dedicated line within system. Call comes in on her line, but does not go to voicemail if no answer, jut rings and rings and rings.

I have ext. 13 (her ext.) set up in hunt group 7, and have reinitialized the mailbox within the VS mail. She can check her VM from her own phone, but that's it. I have been into the VM and checked line ownership, and it says that line 7 is owned by ext. 13, so that is right.

What in the world am I missing? I know this is simple, but today is not going well anyways, so it doesn't really surprise me. Help please.

I may not be able to fix it, but I certainly can't break it any further- Jay

Ok, but doesn't auto voice mail coverage have to be user-enacted by pressing a button that is programmed on their phone?

Auto VMS coverage is just that, automatic. You can give them manual coverage which would need a button. So you can set it up depending on how you want it, most us the auto coverage.

Ok, I assigned ext 13 to automatic VM cover (#310), and the VM still will not answer. I let it ring prob. 9 times, and never got vm.

Ok, now you need to check and make sure that 13 has Ringing assigned for that line to either Direct or Delayed.
2. set Call Coverage #320 for the amount of rings you wat before it goes to 13's VMS. Set #321 to the same rings as #320 for station 13.
That should do it.

alrighty, well, got back in remotely and changed both rings to 4. What is the # code to check and see what type of ringing (direct or delayed) ext 13 has?

I may not be able to fix it, but I certainly can't break it any further- Jay

No code, it's in Central Telephone Programming, enter the extension then press the line button for desired setting, if you are doing it remotely it's in Extensions then button programming then click on the line button and it will bring up the info where you can change it.

Ok, I set the ringing for line 7 as delayed. It was on immediate.

You do realize if you set it to Delayed she won't hear any ringing on that line and it will go to her voice mail. Perhaps that's the way you want it but I thought I would tell you anyway.

yup. she said that until it gets progammed, to just make it so it wont ring, so thats what i did. thank you for following up.
