I'm having a problem with permissions on certain mailboxes on my Exchange server. When I try to check the permissions on certain mailboxes on the M: drive, I get a message that says: "The permissions on Calendar(Inbox, etc.) are incorrectly ordered, .... Press Ok to continue and sort the permissions correctly, ..."

If you press Ok, it seems to work, but you continue to receive the error, and the results are inconsistent. I am trying to set permissions on certain calendars so secretaries can view and edit their bosses' calendars. It is not enough to set a Delegate from within Outlook to do this.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Would appreciate any help.

When this happens remove all permissions (including inhertance) and then go back and check allow inheritance. This usually fixes it. Dan

Thanks, Dan. I tried your suggestion, but I'm still having the same problem. I have not installed Service Pack 2 as of yet; do you think that might help?

I had a case like this before. Basically this always works on public folders.

Exmerge the mailbox and recreate it. This way you get new folders. Dan
