I have several users on a domain who need to send and recieve e-mails from a general active directory user mailbox account. I have set mailbox permissions for selected users "full mailbox rights" and I have logged onto the users account and granted ownership rights in outlook 2003. When one of the selected user trys to reply from an email from this account in outlook, the mail bounces back to there own account saying they don't have permission.
"You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.

There must be a way around this issue?

Are these users trying to Send AS this account as a response email to the sender and that makes it look like it is from that general box?
Did you go in to the advanced tab of the security and grant Send As to these users (even if you specified Full Rights)?

Send As would be my first guess too. Access to the mailbox isn't the same as Send As.

Yes, the users are trying to "send as".

From what your suggesting, I tried the following procedure:

Got one of the users to exit outlook and go back in again, tried to send a mail and they got the same message back into their own account. "You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.

You may have to log off and log on again to accrue the new permissions?
