Is there anywhere on the mitel 3300 release MCD 6.1 where I can upload a professional recorded name wav file to a mailbox name field on the embedded voicemail. I know you cant do it via the MOH file upload as it only allows the greeting field upload, but can I FTP a wav file into the system anywhere for the name field for the mailbox.. Im creating an AA but the transfer only mailbox always says """your being transferred to""" and then plays the name field, and my voice doesn't cut it, and coming from professional recorded options, staff voices don't cut it either... So you have to ask Mitel WHY play this, even if I could turn this off...

any ideas anyone I'd really appreciate it, save me having to try playing the professional recording on my pc speakers with the phone at the speakers recording the name into the mailbox..

I know you can do it if connect to the 3300 with ftp and replace the file in place with a new one with the exact same name.

If you need it, I will find you how to do it.

You will probably have to modify your recordings, if memory serves me the embedded voicemail recordings are not recorded as wav files.

You could try uploading as a normal mailbox greeting and then rename and move it to the required location via FTP.
i.e. ftp /vmail/d/vm/int/int{ext}.vox and rename and move to /vmail/d/vm/name/nam{ext}.vox

That works perfect guys thanks for all your help it really appreciated..
