The MSS is rejecting the MBM as the IP or the password is not right. What d you have in the MSS for the trusted server MBM

Ken

I have attached a screen shot of the trusted server setup. The IP address listed is the ip-address of the MAS. There is only one MAS in this solution.

ken

Attaching the file didn't seem to work.

Heres the info.

Trusted server name: mbmserver
Machine Name / Ip Address: 10.10.100.11 (IP of the MAS)
Minutes of Inactivity Before alarm: 0
Access to cross domain delivery: no
Ldap access allowed: yes
IMAP4 Super User Access allowed: no
Password: set to a 5 character work with 1 numeric character at the end. I.E. broke1

Default community 1
Service name Mailbox Manager
LDAP Connection security: No encryption required
IMAP4 Super User Connection Secuiry: Must use SSL or encrypted SASL

thanks..

The IP must be the public IP of the server running the MBM. I assume that the MBM is installed on the MAS. So is that the public?

The IP is public. Does the MBM software have to run on the MAS or can it run on a PC? The assuming the IP address listed in the trusted server is the IP address of the machine running the MBM software.

It does not need to run on the MAS but it does need to have a static IP. What do you have on the MBM setup for the bind DN

Ken

I spoke with the customer. I'm working with him from a remote site. He had changed the IP in the MBM app. I had him put the proper IP in and its now working.

Thanks for the help. I really do appreciate it.

Question: When installing this using a AVAYA MAS/Exchange server config. How does the process differ.

MBM does not work on an Exchange MM system at all.
