I want to delete mail over 2 years old from specific users in my exchange org.

1. It works when I add one user account.
2. If I add a group it does not remove mail from the users in the group.

I am doing something wrong but I dont know what. Please can someone tell me the correct steps to delete mail over 2 years old for a particulr group or groups(I have setup the Mailbox Manager settings correctly - as it works for one mailbox.)

Thanks

System manager - Recipient Policies.
Create new policy - set everything for 728 days (apporx 2 years)
I either set the filter for 1 user account - and run the mailbox management on the server and it works.

or

I select a distribution group i.e reception (10 users) and it does not delete the mail over 2 years old for the 10 users in the group

Distribution or Security, mail enabled or not, global or univeral?
