Without having to migrate users to the same mailbox store, is there a simple way / tool to change the size limitation on mailboxes? For example, I want to change the mailbox size limitation for all users with a mailbox currently under 450 MB to put a hard limitation at 500 MB.

If there is a third party tool that I can purchase, I am willing to look at that as well.

Thanks in Advance!!!

Anthony

Do you mean an automated way of changing it instead of just doing it manually on a per-user basis? I'm sure it can be done in vbs. Markdmac probably has a way.

Does altering the existing servers\domainname\first Store\mailbox store properties of the "Limits" tab not do this?

Yes, sorry I forgot to mention that. I need a solution where a script or program can search through my environment for mailboxes smaller than 450 MB and apply a 500 MB limiitation on the mailbox.

Unfortunately I have too many users and not enough time to first move every mailbox I find to a specific mailbox store.

I'd just set the store default to 500 and then remove or clear the per user limit.

I'm inclined to agree. If there are just oodles of users that need to be touched, I'd likely create a limit specific store and move the mailboxes there.

I have over 1200 users that are under 450 MB in size, moving them would a long and tedious process.

Oddly, the number is roughly the same about 1000 users over the 500 MB mark.
