Hello

All got this strange issue,

Using exchange 2003 on SBS Server.

Exchange Service pack is SP2
Adjusted default mailbox limit from 250mb to increased default mailbox limit to 1gb from the orgnal default settings.

Mailbox was then under default limit that was adjusted.

But the user mailbox in question:.

But was still getting Your mailbox has exceeded one or more size limits set by your
administrator.
Your mailbox size is 285626 KB.
Mailbox size limits:
You will receive a warning when your mailbox reaches 275000
KB.You may not be able to send or receive new mail until you reduce your
mailbox size.
To make more space available, delete any items that you are no longer
using or move them to your personal folder file (.pst).
Items in all of your mailbox folders including the Deleted Items and
Sent Items folders count against your size limit.
You must empty the Deleted Items folder after deleting items or the
space will not be freed.

Tempry fix but want to sort it out correctly is move old mail to pst. But ideally want the better fix and store the mail back in the users mailbox.

The mailbox store is under the default 16GB limit.

So looks like you changed the store limit to 1GB but looks like you've got the mailbox limit done manually at 275MB - change it in the user mailbox not the store level. Or set the database limit back to 250mb and change the mailbox individually to 1GB.
