Hello,
We have a customer that has an employee ext. 8653, when some one tries to forward a voice mail to them the problem arises. When the person who is forwarding the mail uses the Dir.path to forward the message by spelling the persons name and sending it. The sender gets a "Mailbox Full" on the display.
But when the sender uses the extension number to forward the message it is sent sucessfully to Ext. 8653.
8653 has no messages in the box. I deleted mailbox 8653 and made a new one to see if that would fix it, no sucess. The mailbox is setup the same way that everyone else is set up.
The only thing that may relate is another employee that has the same last name. I checked that mailbox and it has all messages deleted. No problems with that mailbox.
It is a NAM not sure of the SW version. Anybody else had a problem like this?
Thanks
Dmac,

Could there be an old mailbox for that person in which their name appears twice? Worth a shot.

Just in case you don't already know this about your voice mail: find the name of a virtual mbox when you do a CHG and at ext prompt press #

Schlum and Arr,
I,ll have to check and see if she has an old mailbox with a different ext. number. This may be it because she is a part time employee.

Arr, I'm a little confused about what you are talking about.
Can you clarify this a little better.

dmac,
what arr means is that if you go into mailbox admin as if you are going to change one of the mailboxes press DIR softkey, then press OK (a pound "#" works also) and the system will display for you the first alphabetical listing that is available for mailboxes that have dir=yes flagged. just keep pressing next and you will scroll thru all of your mailboxes in the directory. if you think you might have mailboxes that are not in the directory you would have to hook up the norstar vm manager on a pc and look at the master list of mailboxes that the manager can give you.

jerryreeve,
Thanks for the clearup. I haven't had a chance to get back to this customer and check on this. It isn't a priority right now. when I get out there and figure it out I'll let you know what the problem was.
Dmac,

Okay,I got it now. Good suggestion!

Hello,
Thanks to all that helped on this one. Fixed the problem. The employee had a virtual mailbox also that had the name with last name first then first letter of first name. Deleted it and no more problem.
