Mailbox ext assigned

I setup a mailbox but when I get to the part that says what ext I put in the proper ext and it says ext assigned. How do I release that ext so it is available to use again?

The extension is assigned to another mailbox or assigned as an Alt DN of another mailbox. You have to find out which mailbox it is and delete it.

If you hook up a printer to the NAM and run through the directory report you will find where the extension is being used

I agree with the oldward. Print it out. going through each mail box will take along time.
