Hi All,
Im tying to create a mailbox using the POP3 Service utility that ships with Windows 2003 server. Im trying to create the mailbox admin@mydomain.com but I get an error saying that it cant create the mailbox because it already exists.

I know why its happening, because I previously created this mailbox, then deleted it. I actually verified this by creating a test mailbox, deleting it and tried re-creating it and sure enough got the same message.

I've even tried using the command prompt utility to delete/create it and it says something about not being able to find some file...

Does anyone have a fix for this issue?

Thanks

Nevermind, I figured it out.

Solution:

Go into computer management, users, delete the user that was automatically created when then mailbox was created. It will then let you re-create the mailbox.

Thanks
