I have octel 200 rel s.4.0.0-2 connected to md110 bc12 sp9. I've created a mailbox to dial an external number but it doesn't work. Mailbox has cos with attrib 15 & 30 and uses info table attrib 6. Any ideas?

You should use abbreviated dialling number to solve this problem.(Spped dialling number).
In the MD110 you can initiate e.g. a 4 digit abbreviated number by ADCOI.
This number (= the ADCOI number) should be initiated as a mailbox in the OCTEL voice mail server.
You shoul also in the MD permit trunk-to-trunk calling, if you call from outside.
In the OCTEL INFO table set the following:
-Do not use pre extension digits (6)
-Set Ring before no answer to 20.

In the OCTEL COS table set the following:
Remove attrib: 15.
Set attrib: 27.
Make a mailbox with the number you call in to. E.g. 1000.

Then in the OCTEL INFO table set the index 18 (next mail box) to the 4 digits ADCOI number.
Record a greeting (Mute it if no greeting is needed)in mailbox 1000.
Then call ext. 1000 and after the greeting the call is send to the external number of the ADCOI.

Let me know if you got it to work.

Doktor,

Thank you very much you actually gave me an idea. What i did was replace the external number in pre-extension with adcoi number without changing the original cos and info table configuration you suggested and it worked.

Nice to hear this. Let me know if you need more help on the VMX/OCTEL systems.
