Mail wont delete

I go into 'Mail'
delete all the messages 'd 1 -8'

exit then go back in and there still there?


Any suggestions?

Did you "q" to leave or "x"? If you used "x", that undoes everything you did while in there.

wohooo that works


i was usin 'exit', i'm sure i've always used that but entering 'q' deletes them all now :)
