Mail VS with DXD as second layer auto attendant

Partner Mail VS R5.0 has 4 AAs but they answer different lines; they do not appear to provide layering - I don't believe an AA answering 4 lines can then provide callers with a selector option which routes the call to another of the AAs.

If this is true, could the AA route the call to an extension at the KSU into which a patch cord is connected from that extension to an unused line port. Then, that "line" is programmed with DXD providing more options, thus acting as a multi layered AA?

Similarly, could the primary auto attendant transfer calls to an extension with a patch cord connected to that ext at the KSU which is connected to a line port and then ASA answers that "line" to provide a call center type capability?

Yeah, but only one call at a time, and the line appearances on the sets are going to get pretty confusing for the users.

Pick up a Partner Messaging, and you'll get 4 auto attendants, 99 submenus, 99 announcements, 200 mailboxes, and the ability to call one AA from another, and group mailboxes as well.

You could also route the calls to an Announcement. The calls could transfer to an extension by pressing *8 and the extension number. Your prompt would be "For sales, press star 814; for parts, press star 815, etc." Each Auto Attendant has two announcements.

Thanks for all the great suggestions. Our system is so messed up that the default auto attendant "welcome to Partner Mail VS" answers and at other times it does not. How can I reset the system so that the Mail VS and the phone system programming are at factory settings?
