Hi guys,

This has been troubling me for awhile, for some strange reasons when i try send an email from my server with

mailx -s test-subject -r root@power.server1.com.au -v lemsip@server1.com.au
lemsip@server1.com.au... Connecting to smail.server1.com.au. ( ether)...
220 server1.com.au MIMEsweeper ESMTP Receiver Version 5.1.4.0 Ready
>>> HELO power.server1.com.au
250 OK
>>> MAIL From:<root@power.server1.com.au>
250 root@power.server1.com.au OK
>>> RCPT To:<lemsip@server1.com.au>
250 lemsip@server1 OK
>>> DATA
354 Ready for data
>>> .
250 Message received OK
>>> QUIT
221 server1.com.au closing
lemsip@server1.com.au... Sent (Message received OK)

I am using smail.server1.com.au as a relay server.

As you can see, at this section
>>> RCPT To:<lemsip@server1.com.au>
250 lemsip@server1 OK

the .com.au got strip out after lemsip@server1

Without the .com.au, the relay server could not relay the mail as its an invalid address.

Any ideas guys??

Thanks!!

The sendmail version: Sun's sendmail SMI-8.6
