Mail stops routing...

I have a Domino 5.0.12 Server. It has been up and running fine for years. Nothing has recently been added to the server, no changes made.

Almost everytime this week at around 2:30am, messages stop getting delivered to the users. This would not be a big deal for my US people, by my London folks can't do business without e-mail. When I look at the server console, there are no errors and it appears to be receiving messages just fine. When I try to look at the server's mailbox using the Administrator (Messaging), the Administrator just hangs. If I stop and start the Domino Service on the Server, I see tons of messages fly-by as they are now being delivered.

My problem is I don't have the foggiest clue what steps I should take to troubleshoot what is happening. Can anyone give me some clues for things I should be looking at?

I had something like that and it turned out to be the console went into the select mode. When I clicked on the console and hit enter or spacebar the messages would start to flow again.

Try right clicking on the console box > Properties > and uncheck Quick edit Mode.

Thanks Mike, unfortunately that is not the problem.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
