Does anyone know why mail sent through sendmail can vary
by 3 bytes?
When using mutt to send mail to the local sendmail daemon,
the maillog shows the size varying by 3 bytes. The
attachment and the body of the message remain the same
size.
This question seems silly but it is actually critically
important that I find a way to explain the variance.
The server is running:
Red Hat Linux release 7.3
kernel-smp-2.4.18-27.7.x
mutt-1.2.5.1-1
sendmail-8.11.6-23.73
Thanks in advance for your help.
Sincerely,
Mitch
