I dont know if I'm in the right place, but maybe one of you guys can help me...

I want to be able to use formmail.pl or something similar on my intranet. My challenge is that I'm trying to do it using Freeware/Shareware software. What do I need in the way of web servers, mail servers, perl interpreters etc, to get this going.
I'm using W98 on an NT4 network.

Any suggestions for:
1. How to do it...
2. Where to find the info on what I need and how it works?

You will need to download activeperl, although it may already have been installed when you installed your web server (search for perl on your server first).

Thanks double,
I have a web/email server installed called Jana. Its german freeware.
I also have perl installed.

Now my problem seems to be that I dont know how to get formmail to talk to the email server so that it sends mail.

Can u help?

Active.)

In formail.pl you specify the recipient. It should not need to talk to the mail server by my understanding. It works through a form submission to the cgi-bin which then sends the mail through the mail port in turn sending it to the outgoing mail server wether it be your own domain or hotmail type mail.
